Exploring the frontiers of generative design and advanced fabrication

Born from Designtech’s vision as a design-driven technology hub, Designtech Originals embodies the convergence of creativity, digital manufacturing, and sustainability. More than just a support platform for companies, designers, and startups, Designtech aims to position itself as a design publisher—curating and catalyzing a new generation of products that are inherently digital and sustainable by design.
Titled Hituals, this first collection presents a series of high-tech artifacts crafted to elevate the rituals of everyday life. Drawing inspiration from the harmonious geometries of nature—flowers, honeycombs, and the human form—it reimagines design and technology as instruments for deepening the relationship between people and their surroundings.

Poetic in spirit yet grounded in function, the collection is crafted predominantly from glass fiber-reinforced PETG—an exceptionally durable, 3D-printed material known for its strength, weather resistance, and minimal environmental impact. Engineered for versatility, it seamlessly transitions between indoor and outdoor settings, merging computational design, sustainable thinking, and advanced digital fabrication into a cohesive whole.
With contributions from Furf, French designer Ambroise Maggiar, and additive manufacturing specialists Puntozero, the collection explores the frontiers of generative design and next-generation production techniques. Each piece balances technological innovation with a reverence for craftsmanship, biomimicry, and the timeless sophistication of Made in Italy.

Miele by Furf
A mirror becomes a moment of self-reflection—both literal and poetic. Miele draws inspiration from space engineering and the elegant geometry of honeycombs, celebrating the efficiency and balance of the hexagon. When repeated, the form dissolves into its natural surroundings, resulting in an object that is at once functional and visually striking. Crafted from a 3D-printed structure and refined with CNC precision, Miele by Furf is a bold experiment in creative engineering.
